I was living in Buenos Aires for a few weeks so I took the chance to learn a little about the famous dance, tango, which is hugely popular in Argentina and Uruguay. I managed to master the basics and learn a few things about tango culture, so I made this short video (3:33 long) to show my progress! Many thanks to my instructor María José (“Majo”). If you enjoy it, make sure to leave comments and subscribe to see my future videos!

  • Felicidades amigo!!! The Tango is quite difficult to perfect, but you looked fantastic. I looooove visiting the milongas when I'm in BsAs.

As a Newbie, I am always searching online for articles that can help me. Thank you
  • As an honorary milonguera and tango snob, I approve! :-) ha ha

Seriously, that's a great job you did, and it's courageous to get out there and dance in a milonga after a short period of time. Kudos! I hope you do keep learning! :-) You've got the potential and she looks like a great teacher.

I'm kinda bummed that she didn't have you in the close embrace right away, but that's a matter of style preference on my part. It looks like you still caught the magic of tango!

Here's Pedro, the guy I told you about, who I work with.

Hope to see you again soon! What a treat to be able know you!

Excellent video, it really shows that you learned a little history and that you discovered the beginning of tango. I hope you continue dancing because it's a great passion to have!
  • Great video! You must have had an awesome tripod on some of those shots. ;) I recognized that awesome dance floor at La Viruta. I already miss it. Keep up the Tango when you go back home and other places.

For the first time, you actually look serious. Makes you look very classy. :) Never thought you had such a style.
